If you follow my blog regularly, you know that I’m all about empowering single mothers and young people to do awesome things. I think as a generation we want to make great things happen. We no longer really care for working for someone else and climbing that corporate ladder. As a result of that mindset, we’re seeing more women pursuing their dreams of being entrepreneurs. We’re out here hustling all the time, but the real question is how do you #FuelYourHustle?
My hustle never stops. In fact, I just had to drive 3 hours for business meetings and for a quick appearance at a retail store for their grand opening. Major shoutout to Chevrolet for allowing me to take this trip in the all-new new 2016 Chevy Cruze! One thing I noticed immediately was the fuel to mileage ratio. I’m so used to having to stop for gas sooner than I would like to, but this Chevy Cruze made my 3 hour ride a little easier since I didn’t have to stop for gas. This compact car is jammed packed with new technologies such as Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and new active safety features, as well as a more spacious interior and an “athletic”, aerodynamically optimized design. Since I’m currently on the hunt for a new car I’m glad that I got to experience the 2016 Chevy Cruze (I’ll be sharing more on my car hunt later).
During my 3 hour drive, I had a lot to reflect on such as my work ethic and how I hustle my butt off. Here’s a little backstory. I’ve been blogging for almost 6 years. Three years ago, I started to see income. I’ve been featured in some cool campaigns (Target, People Style Watch, and Ashley Stewart just to name a few). Now, more than ever, I am motivated to keep taking my blog to the next level. Some will never understand how much effort is involved in maintaining a blog and making a living while doing so. I mean, sure, it’s easy to start one. But to keep it up? Ask any blogger you know…it sure isn’t easy. Every day I have deadlines and posts to write. Without my hustle, my blog and social media presence wouldn’t be where it is today.
I don’t wait for the right time to move, I create the right time. To #FuelYourHustle you have to stay motivated, developing a relentless work ethic and even learn how to be creative. Here are a couple ways to #FuelYourHustle:
1.Dedicate creative time.
Creative time allows you to let your mind wander. My creative time consists of writing down ideas about blogpost, videos, and goals for my blog. Additionally, reading and surfing the net for new ideas. Throughout the week, I make sure to set time aside for these activities. They keep my mind fresh and motivation levels high.
2. Grow your network.
As I continue to develop a stronger network, I firmly believe that your network equals your net worth. Having a strong network allows you to meet more new people and opens up your resource pool. Having access to more people and resources allows you to do more, faster.I’ve learned so much just by joining Facebook groups that cater to my niche.

I’m obsessed with reading the back-stories of successful entrepreneurs and public figures. The back-stories of these people help me understand what it took them to achieve their success, this gives me insight into the people they are through the obstacles they faced and can help show that success can be obtained no matter how bleak a circumstance.
4 . List your weekly accomplishments.
Accomplishments can give fuel to your motivation, and provide vital vitamins to your hustle. The more I accomplish, the more motivated I get. The more I track my accomplishments, the more accomplishments I realize I am building. It’s an awesome motivation cycle that keeps building and compounding.
“You have the same amount of hours in a day as Beyonce`,” that’s a quote that always pops up in my head whenever I’m down and I feel like I’m just not living up to my potential or I feel like my hustle is slowing down. Whether you’re working a 9-5 or working from home as a full-time freelancer, we must find ways to #FuelYourHustle.
