Makeup Series 101-Let’s Talk Blush…

Many women prefer their blush to be entirely subtle. Never should blush be packed on BLENDING is the key to a perfect blush application.

Applying Blush to the Brush
  • When using a powder brush, apply a small amount of powder onto the brush. Tap off the excess blush gently.
  • Blend blush a little further down your face, if you want a more natural look. .Keep blending the blush until there is no noticeable line between your blush and makeup. You want subtlety and invisibility with your blush, so it adds color, but otherwise doesn’t appear to be there. If you leave a red circle on your cheek, you’ll look like a clown.
  • Rounder face-contouring will help- use a pressed powder that is 2-3 shades darker than your skin tone
  • Thinner face-apply blush to just the apples of the cheeks- it will soften your features.
  • Warm skin tones-, go for peach or gold based blushes.
  • Cool skin tones-go for the pink blushes.
