As many of you know this will be my second Mother’s Day without my mom. Last year I didn’t celebrate too much, in fact, I tried not to celebrate it at all but mini me surprised mine with Breakfast in bed (that really put a smile on my face). Some of my friends even received flowers (I love flowers, especially the ones procured fresh from a local florist similar to the ones that deliver Flowers Knox Hospital)! But this year I’m taking a different approach when it comes to Mother’s Day, I’m planning the best mother date ever. Here are a couple Mother Daughter Date Ideas
Shopping Date:
My mini me loves to shop in fact we can spend hours in clothing stores putting outfits together and trying on clothes. One of my favorite stores is JCPenney, they carry affordable and trendy clothing for the whole family. JCP is a one-stop shopping destination for the whole family, shopping there is always worth your time, money and effort with styles that are priced to buy and guaranteed to love #SoWorthIt. Who doesn’t love a mother-daughter shopping date?

Plan a Picnic/ Park Date
This is a great way to just sit and chat. It’s always nice to get out the house and just walk a talk. I feel like the best conversations with me Daughter happen when we’re in the park walking around. Time to catch up! If you want to get a little gift that you both will enjoy, you may want to look into how to make a baby clothes quilt that can be a lovely addition to your mother-daughter bond.
Spa Day
This is our favorite mother-daughter date. I think she loves getting mani’s and pedi’s more than me. One thing I might try this year is a full-on spa date that will include facials and massages. This would not only be relaxing for me (I’m in need of massage) but fun for her. Girls love spa days!
Hands On Creative Class:
Did you know painting with a twist offers painting classes for children? This is a great opportunity to get out the house and get creative. If your child loves drawing and painting as much as I mine I’m pretty sure they will love creative activity. Keep the creative juices flowing. Alternatively, you can do some baking at home together. Why not make yourselves a mug cake in a custom mug from somewhere like Lastdropmugs. This will add a personal touch to the day, and you get to eat cake after!!

Fancy Dinner Date:
Is your mini me ready for fancy dinner dates? Last year I took my 8-year-old to a fancy 3-course restaurant and she loved it. It’s very interesting to watch your child in a new setting especially restaurant settings. You really get to put their etiquette skills to the test. Dinner Dates are always fun!

Even though I miss my mother, I plan to enjoy some much-needed mother-daughter time on Mother’s Day. Plus we love any excuse to get cute and head out of the house. One of my friends told me how her daughter enjoyed going to the theatre. She had got themselves some cheap london theatre tickets with which they went to watch one of the famous plays and I might do the same with my little one for the next mother-daughter date. These dates create great memories for your little one, give them something to smile back on. In honor of Mother’s Day, I’m giving one of my fabulous readers a $25 gift card to shop JCPenney over on my facebook click HERE for more details. Shop our cute Mother’s Day looks below. HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!
